About me
My name is Paolo Porqueddu, and for more than twenty years I have worked at the intersection of systems engineering, operational processes, quality assurance, cross-regional collaboration and organisational transformation.
I have built my career across Italy, France, Ireland, Spain, the UK and the United States, working with multicultural teams and companies in different industries. This has allowed me to see from the inside how truly efficient organisations operate – and what systematically holds the others back.
My current role
I currently serve as EMEA Lead System Integration & Test Engineer in a multinational company operating in satellite communications and IFEC (In-Flight Entertainment & Connectivity).
My responsibilities include:
- coordinating test and integration activities across multiple European labs;
- acting as the operational bridge between Engineering, Operations, Product, Quality and Customer-facing teams;
- defining and standardising processes, KPIs and workflows;
- introducing automation frameworks and improving operational efficiency;
- ensuring that complex systems work reliably under real-world conditions.
This role requires method, clarity, leadership and the ability to turn complex, messy situations into predictable and controlled processes. That is exactly what I bring into the businesses I work with as a consultant.
International experience
Throughout my career I have worked in:
- France – international project management;
- United States – technical and IT/operations roles;
- Italy, Ireland, Spain, UK – cross-regional leadership in satellite and IFEC systems;
- Eutelsat Broadband – technical operations for mission-critical connectivity.
Across these experiences I have learned a universal truth: most businesses do not struggle because of a lack of talent or expertise, but because they lack structure, process and clarity.
Education & skillset
I hold a degree in Computer Science Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, and over time I have developed a unique blend of technical, leadership and operational skills.
Technical skills
- Linux systems and server infrastructures;
- LAMP development and architectures;
- automation and system integration;
- monitoring, logging and telemetry;

Leadership skills
- cross-regional team coordination;
- stakeholder management (technical and non-technical);
- organisational transformation and change management;

- crisis and incident handling;
- clear, structured communication in international contexts.
Operational expertise
- process and workflow mapping;
- dashboard and KPI design;
- customer journey analysis and optimisation;

- bottleneck removal and efficiency improvements.
Why I work with small businesses
After years spent in large organisations, I realised something essential:
Large companies have processes, KPIs, dashboards, automations and playbooks.
Small businesses have passion, talent and expertise – but often lack structure.
It is not their fault: nobody has ever brought them enterprise-level thinking in a simple, accessible, practical way.
I bring that expertise into small businesses in the form of:
- simple, actionable steps;
- clear, measurable processes;
- tailored digital tools;
- a sustainable, step-by-step transformation.
My approach
- no consulting fluff – only what truly adds value;
- practical and measurable – every analysis leads to a concrete action plan;
- one process at a time – no overwhelming, unrealistic overhauls;
- clear communication – straightforward language, no unnecessary jargon.
If you want to bring clarity, structure and predictability into your practice or small business, using the same mindset I apply in complex international environments – adapted to your reality – we can work together.
